I've owned my s3 2 weeks and already have said "*****" ten times on tools I didn't have for changing or adding something (the right tool I mean, I have hammer for all one offs) - other than the service manual, which I already have, anyone have any ideas on a great tool kit for this bike, maybe just a great metrics tool kit...rather than going out to pick up piece kits...

Thanks in advance.

I added what I'd need to remove the fuel tank to the basic tool kit. There are many more things that would be worthwhile, but that's a start.

Any preferences on a rock solid Torx socket set. I was looking at the extended length ones but have not had great experiance with them in the past on hard to move items....how about a converter for foot punds to the metric conversion?

Go to: www.google.com

Type in the search box exactly: 10 foot pounds to newton meters

Google is incredible in so many little known ways!

Uh... Google creeps me out sometimes.

I like this site for conversions - they have everything. Here's the torque converter (so to speak)

Newton-metres to foot-pounts, etc.</a>

Sweet, thanks guys. I found a small program that converts just about everything in the world it looks like...an engineering friend sent it to me but you can pick it up at www.joshmadison.com/software if you want something on your desktop instead of logging online. It's free to use and distribute.
