OK, daft question, but hey...
had the front wheel and forks off my mk1 t3 and when i put it all back on it seemed that the rubber 'guide' on the mudguard that the speedo cable goes through was being stretched more than usual.
i tried routing the cable in a different way, in front/ behind brake lines etc, but it still doesnt seem right or as i remebered it!!!
i wonder if when i put the speedo drive back on i have located it in the wrong place.
at present the 'lug' on the fork leg that butts against the lug on the speedo drive is in front. should the speedo drive lug be in front instead!? (is this making any sense!?)
this is the only way i can see that would give more slack in the speedo cable.
viewing pics on the forum and web, it seems that some models have a lot more slack in the cable, where as mine is definately close/touching the caliper.
any help greatly appreciated!!! small but niggling problem!!!
