I picked up my new S3 this afternoon, and after riding it to show the guys I brought it home. I think we're going to get along just fine. It was a very frustrating experience, though, as many of you know who stick pretty closely to recommended break-in rules. I just want to wail on this bike, but it's going to take a little time. I'll be riding in the canyons tomorrow, though, and am really looking forwar to it. I probably won't be in danger of getting any speeding tickets at this time, as I'll have to put a few more miles on first. Oh well, time to start accessorizing - who's got the best deals on MD fender eliminators?

Welcome to the machine...

Used mini hacksaw and Lockhart Short Stalk III's (dark lens) to ease pain of big ugly rear fender. License plate covers chop job. Better than new!

Try skyking.com, newspeed3, and pjsparts.com. I have found the best stuff in all of these places. Of course this is only if you want good customer service.

If you don't, then surf the web.

Point well taken - you win some, you lose some.

There is a ton of really cool things you can do to the Triples. First thing I would do is remove that long nasty mud guard on the back and install:

CLEAR INTERGRATED TAIL LIGHT LENS

You can find them at the dealership I go through (speed triple accessories ), and I know a lot of other people have used them too.

There web site is www.rideteamtriumph.com or www.triumph1.com or or just click here

Thanks Corners, I might do that. But I also really like the Mad Doctor set-up. It's just too dam* pricey, but it looks the t*ts. I'm also going to get the rad covers and heel guards powder coated semi-gloss black. I may do the exhaust covers that way also, but I hope to have a new exhaust before too long. I rode it up Angeles Crest Highway today and loved it, although I found the way it comes from the factory is too soft in front, so I increased the compression and rebound significantly and now am hoping it'll feel better for the next ride.

welcome stmike! Mad doctor kit is bad azz, but way too much $ for me. But, if I had the $, that would probably be the one I would get. Hope you enjoy your new ride! :-D
