So, there I am, drooling over a white S3 at the dealers. It all gets too much and I know I have to get the cash out.
Female half senses imminent release of cash and is over in a flash.

"Er, nice isn't it?" say I. "Not bad" she says, "Need to change that front bit though". "what front bit?" I ask. "Those goldy tube bits that hold the front wheel on" says she. "Ah, the fork legs, nice aren't they" say I. "No", she says, " the rest of the bike is lovely, all in white, silver and black, the goldy legs should be silver to match."

You know what? Now that she has pointed it out, I have to agree. On the other colours the forks seem OK, but the white seems to make the forks look out of place. The cash is parked up for a bit while I have a think about it.

Anyone else think the same?

If I had my druthers, I'd like black fork tubes. Moreover, though, is the color of the fork tubes really a factor in deciding whether to get an S3?!

Hahaha, if you really want the speed triple, you should'nt be to concerned about the gold forks. I think it just adds to the uniqueness (spell) of the bike. And on top of that, once you actually ride the bike, all else will be forgoten. Now that i am reminded, is anyone else addicted to wheelies? I can't stop

I just added gold anodized radiator valences to my white S-3! Gold and white with blue trim/lettering is cool! Go with the GOLD!

Just get some gold anodized titanium bolts for the engine and you're blingtastic!

Seriously though, if you're going with the 05, you should go with gold bolts, but don't overdo it.

Don't overbling a beautiful thing.

Thanks all

think I'll go with the white, and take the nagging. Should be OK as:

1. She'll be on the back (comfy eh?) and can't see the front.
2. She'll be at home and can't see any of it while I'm playing.

Exactly! You can't really see the forks when you're riding it anyway!

I really think the forks should have been anodized blue on the white bikes but I didn't let it stop me. I'm much more concerned about that mess on the tail. Ordered a Skyking plate holder but they are on backorder till the 20th.

How is this for a white one? It's my dealer's demo bike that I have been breaking in. White handlebars, headlights, instrument holders, heat shields, radiator sides etc. etc.
