Has anyone here used these?
http://www.thetankslapper.biz/online...store/main.htm

I never got a scratch on my R6. I've ridden my Triple for 200 miles and I already got small scratches from my jeans. I need to find something to protect it without standing out too much. Thought about giving this a shot. Input on the Tankslapper or the 3M variety would be great.
Thanks

Yes - I've gotta say that I'm not overly impressed with the durability on my bike either and I've found the tankslapper material to be a godsend. When properly applied, it's not very noticeable, and I like the option of being able to remove it for a full wax job. I've found it a good idea to dip the material in warm water before applying / re-applying, as it forms to the tank more easily. This investment was a no-brainer for me.

I bought the upgraded 3M kit from thetankslapper, but I ended getting a one-piece professional installation of the same 3M material because I didn't want to have the any gaps between the side and front pieces. I've been very happy with the material, which is almost invisible and seems more resistant to scuffs than the paint itself!

I still have the sealed kit, which cost me $34, with tax and shipping. If you would like it, I'll ship it to you for $20.

Thanks for the offer, but I am going to stick with a removable product. I found these as well:
Paint Guard Sheets
I think I'll give these a shot. This way I can remove when I want/need to and I can can cover the regions I want.
Here's hoping I manage to do a good just with them.

I got the removable one from tankslapper a few days ago just havent got around to putting it on yet. I wish I had thought of it, could make a fortune. If it does the job and applies good it will be worth the money.
I will post up again after install in a few days.

I used those but I think I'm going to go for the tankslapper kit anyway. If you don't get the cut exactly right, you end up pre-stressing the film on application and it eventually comes undone on the edges.

And whichever you choose, be careful on install. The Triumph clear coat is incredibly soft. I was using a credit card to squeeze out the air bubbles and ended up scratching the tank in a couple of places trying to install the protective film. Isn't that ironic?
