I'm not much for Cod. These are Halibut, but they do use a fine beer batter. The Chips are the size of my cell phone, cut about 4 per potato, and fried with the skins still on. The place even makes their own crisps in a kettle. Sorry, but no old newspapers. The Horsebrass serves everything up on plates, with malt vinegar, that brown English steak sauce, and ketchup (it is the US after all.)
Also, take your pick from bangers, saveloys, pot pies, beef and mushroom or steak and kidney pie. Saturday's special is always Bangers and Mash, or get a ploughman's lunch or Scotch egg with one of over 50 draught beers. 500 beers available in bottles at
