A newbie not only to the forum, but this is my first motorcycle as well. And what a bike it is!
Purchased a 2002 in Ultra Fast Black a couple weeks ago with 4700 miles and already 1000 miles put on by yours truly. I love it. Great fun and you don't see 'em everywhere you go.
Been lurking for a little while now and I have to thank you all for the wealth of information you all put out. Reading through the posts has been a real education. I have already purchased a Famsa tail bag (excellent bag!). Ordered the Rizoma "Reverse" mirrors from PJ's Parts and what an absolutely pleasurable process from PJ & Paige. Also considering the Rizoma clip-ons, (Anyone have experience with these?) as well as the rearsets, billet grips and brake fluid reservoir. Bought the radiator cowls on ebay and should have them shortly and am beginning to search for the belly pan.
My skills are steadily improving and I am anxious to get that front end off the ground for more than a few feet. Good thing I waited until my mid 30's. I am able to keep temptation in check (to a certain degree) and wouldn't have been able to do so in my late teens or early 20's.
Look forward to a great summer riding.
Thanks again!

cheapbastard and TonUp...thanks for the welcome message. cheap, if anyone is going to load you down with cash let me know, I'd hate for you to suffer that burden alone! TonUp, does ton up mean a 100mph wheelie? Not quite ready for that if it does, but I'm working on it... :-D

Sometimes! Not Really,
I did a beautiful third gear standup wheelie on the way to breakfast yesterday morning, over 1/2 mile long at over the TON mark. To Ton Up on one is quite a rush.
Ton Up!

Catenaccio,
Thanks for the kind words. I've been having a lot of fun with it and am just hoping that I can afford all the goodies I want to get...perhaps a second job is in order, but then when would I ride??? :???:
TonUp,
Sounds like an absolute blast. Perhaps I'll go to wheelie school, seems they have the good sense to use Triples for instruction.

Russ,
No experience with Rizoma clip-ons but I do have a set of LSL clip-ons on my '02 now. They are at about the same height as the top tree. Great for the twisties, not so great for commuting, IMHO. But then, I'm 50. I'm taking them off the bike so if you're interested...

Dave,
I really like the look of the Rizomas, but I would like to see yours and how they fit. Any pics? The Rizomas are about $300. and I understand the LSL's are a fair amount less so perhaps I could give them a shot. Let me know what you are thinking.
Thanks,
Russ
