Stock pipe, stock tune, no black smoke.

Trident pipe, stock tune, black smoke when revving. Will the aftermarket pipe tune for my S3 02 spit out black smoke? I thought the aftermarket pipe tune would enrichen it more.

Thanks

Black smoke? Ouch. You could try the latest 'aftermarket exhaust with stock air induction' found on the Tuneboy website. I'm running the 'aftermarket exhaust with aftermarket air induction (K&N)'. It greatly reduced backfiring and popping on decel, but it also seems to have dropped my power down a notch.

Gonna try and get the bike dyno'd next week before the Gap trip, or at least have them put my last custom map on a disk for me to upload myself.

Custom mapping is the best way to go, as long as you've got a knowledgeable and experienced tuner doing the work.

Well, you know, gassy smoke. Not like it's really black. Rich smoke. And after I put in the aftermarket exhaust map it still smoked a little bit, then went it went away after starting to ride. I might put the stock map back in just in case it is more fuel efficient. I haven't noticed a change in power at all. But man does this baby sound AWESOME now!

Trust me, if you get it dyno tuned your gas mileage will be worlds better. I got 52mpg on the freeway with my tuning. If I can get the map on disk I'll send it to you if you like. Smooths everything out and is worlds better than the stock map or any of the TOR maps.

Yeah the tune should only be 100k or so, so you could email it to me. I think you just choose file>save tune to download the tune to your computer and then you can just send me the file. I would love to try yours and see how I like it.
