Thought I'd drop a line to say hello. I have been browsing the boards here for the past couple weeks. Just picked up a black 06 Triple yesterday. Looking forward to the journey.
I use to ride an 04 R6. I totaled it over the winter and have been eye-balling the Triple ever since the 05 came out. So excited for the Summer season!

enjoy the ride, but alas, becareful since the black ones are the fastest (yeah, i said it again!), and you might have issues putting power down in all that rain up there!!!!

Very true about the rain. Just got married and have a kid on the way. I'll probably become a fair weather rider whether I like it or not.

Season? What season? Oh... right... I live in Florida. We don't have seasons :razz:

My friend with the old Daytona (the kind that shift on the right) is from Seattle. Apparently there's a decent crew of Triumph nuts up there.

It'll be a world o' difference from your R6. Have fun with it and be careful - those black ones are FAST.

Yeah, yeah. We get a whopping 5-6 months of good riding weather up here. Leaves far too much time for spending money on mods in the off-season. :-D

once again, you guys have convinced this poor fella that black is faster. Sorry, Sdawg, I guess you'll have to find out the hard way just like the others! :-D Congrats on your new bike though, even though you went with the dark side! And just a heads up Sdawg, don't listen to anything that Tracker guy says, I don't think he's all there! :smug:

Well I've been a believer in black long before this purchase. My truck is black too. My silver name came from my days when I had a silver truck and my silver R6. Only problem now is keeping the things clean. I could go months without washing silver. Black looks bad after a week.
