Yeah, I tried that too when I got my Daytona, I thought I'd put 'em back the way they were, but I felt like they were apehangers for some reason, once on the highway and up to speed I was immediately reminded of what I am having a hard time resolving with regards a naked bike, under 70mph they are bliss, above it, and I'm just spanked by the wind. If I was a urban/suburban rider only it would be okay but..
I must say that it was nice to relief not 'getting in hump*ng stance' that I feel I'm in with the clip-ons at least for an afternoon. It's like they are a touch too low but are positioned perfectly to allow the levers to slot between the headlight housing and the instrument panel bezel when you turn from lock to lock. They make the bike look tiny (not in a good way to a guy as tall as me), they make the bike look mean and awesome. I do wish that the seat was a little longer and didnt have that scoop to force me into the tank though (tall guy musings  .)
I've debated back and forth about going back to my handlebars, I started with black Pro-tapers, they were comfy on the wrists moreso than the standard S3 bars but I gave 'em up.
For Clip-on-comfort I think
Aikojo has found the best solution so far but that involves the headlight/ instrument panel mod from LSL.
I had a look at the bars on the Duc Monster and to my eye they look lower and a tad more compact than the S3 bars, I wonder what anyone with experience with those might have to say as regard an option?
