I started the previous "Help on buying a Speed Triple HELP!" thread and now I have a new question. I live in Michigan. I would be willing to travel 300-400 miles to get a speed triple. I am looking for a used one for financial reasons. I'd LOVE a new one, but I'd love a used one too. The help I am asking for is this: I am wondering of any of you have a dealer you recommend that may have a used one? A website or name would be most appreciated. Not too far from Michigan but I am willing to travel a bit if the bike is right. If you know of anyone selling one that is in good shape, that would work too. I am looking in the 2000-2003 year range with relatively low miles. It's got to be in respectable shape too. So, any suggestions? Google only pulls up so many dealers and I am sure there are a ton that are being missed. Thanks!

Might try Cycle World. I know the local dealer doesn't do used stuff, and if they do, they generally give it to a cycle warehouse to get rid of. Otherwise, their used Triumph generally sell FAST. |

Good luck brother. I'm in mid-Michigan and have been looking for a bike too. I know of a guy in Traverse City who has a 2001 black S3 with low mileage and a need to sell (I want a 2002+). He is looking to get just over $4,000. I came across his bike while searching "locally". If interested in his info give me a shout at andybrady@yahoo.com. thanks andhedrew. I was checking ads and sites after I posted the original question here and I found the bike you are talking about. I wrote down his number and I plan on calling him tomorrow. I may have emailed too, but I have sent a few emails so I am not sure now. Thanks for all the suggestions here and to everyone for your help. I have investigate the ebay tips too. Even sent a few emails there as well. We'll see what happens, but after riding a Daytona the other day, I can't get this bike stuff out of my head. I'll have one soon.... :-D

I have looked on cycletrader and as many other places I could find. I am looking for help on the places I won't find on google. For example dealerships that don't show up until the 100th google page etc. I guess I am asking for that hidden treasure so to speak. I have been looking online like the obsessed (Which I have been told directly). I am calling a couple of people today. We'll see what happens.

Just made a deal on an 01, black, low miles. If the pics are good and the bike is as nice as stated when I get to it, I'll buy it. I'll post some pics if I do. Now I just have to worry about being able to sleep well. I am very excited. I've got my fingers crossed. Still need one for my buddy though, so if you hear of one, let me know! Thanks for all the help!
