If you can wait i will be posting every article I've collected on the new S3. Mainly from UK and Aussie Mags. After reading your post i will make it a priority. I'll scan them into PDF format. I will have to have a look if there is any direct comparisons with the S3 and the Duke - I'm sure there is...

Some data from the largest and well-respected German magazine 'Motorrad':
(S3 came second overall, but first in the fun-rating!

fun-rating (title translates as: What really counts)

That was a German mag, so it's no surprise they picked a German bike as #1 over an English bike.

Here's a Motorcycle Consumer News comparison between the 1050 S3 and the Buell XB12S Lightning

Bug Eyed Street Fighters

Warning: This article seems to be Buell biased, and tries to make it seem like an even comparison even when their own data prove otherwise. For instance, they go on and on about the Buell's "Advanced Brakes" only to have the Speed Triple destroy the Buell in stopping distance.

Still a pretty good article.

Here's some of what convinced me to buy an 06 Speed Triple instead of BMWs new K1200R. Oh yeah - I'm new to the boards here. Howdy, y'all.
