Am I missing an O-Ring or something? I have a little oil dribble coming from the dipstick and I've cranked it pretty tight. (hand tightened) Am I supposed to crank it with a wrench? It seems with it being plastic it wouldn't stand up to that kind of torque.

After a decent distance ride...maybe 15 miles or so, when I stop, I'll notice a little dribble coming out of the dipstick area and dribbling down the crankcase onto the pipe.

You should have an o-ring. If you don't, look around in your garage! The first time I checked mine the o-ring fell off and it took me a while to figure out where it came from...beer didn't help. :-D

Hand tight should be fine,if not get a new one,if that doesn`t solve it you may have bigger problems than you think.

I took a big set of pliers to it this morning and just gave it an extra little crank before I left for work. Checked it when I got here and it's fine. I'll stop by the dealership and get a new o-ring.

Thanks.

I would not use pliers on mine. I just snug mine down with my fingers. No leak. I hope your new o-ring is the fix.

Same problem I had on my 03 S3. Spent 0.92 cents for an O-Ring and what do you know...no more drips
