I can't find any info on oil changes for 02 speed triples. How much, what type?

You're kidding, right?

There's tons of oil change threads/arguments.

For the record, your bike and all other T500 variants hold about 4 quarts. The manual recommends synthetic or semi-synthetic 10W-40 or 15W-50 of at least API SH and JASO MA. The recommended brand is Mobile 1 synthetic available everywhere. You can use an oil filter by Purolator Pure One PL14612 at about 2.5 inches long. Or the Purolator Pure One PL14610 about 3.25 inches long. Both will work just fine, or cross reference this to your preferred brand. This is a common oil filter.

Now the argument: Car oil? Or Motorcycle specific oil? Let the fire-fight begin!

(Note: this is a silly argument because the facts are quite clear. However, just try to convince people of this! Quote "My brother-in-law's uncle's first wife's ex-boyfriend once put car oil in his 1972 Honda CB 350 and it destroyed the clutch." Uh-huh.)

Yeah, seriously. Thanks that answers my questions, but try searching the forums and you won't get anything. Just a discussion on the thunderbird

Do not ever change you oil-it will harm the engine irrevocably.

Ever notice though that a lot of the articles on oil are 10+ years old. though I am not sure how much really has changed.

I have Moble 1 MX4T in my bike now but I think next oil change I am going to switch everything over to rotella synthetic T.
