The 675 won (by a big margin) the middleweight shootout stacked up against all the Japanese 600s at Motorcycle Online

You need to subscribe to view the whole article

Since the 675 looks like it might be the new middleweight champ I wonder if the Japanese will introduce some triples of their own ala the Suzuki and Honda copies of the Ducati V-twin engine layout...

We will have to wait and see! Imitation is the biggest form of flattery. There is only one Triumph!

Possibly, possibly. It'll be interesting to watch.

You do understand that all three major manufacures have experimented with triples in the past? The legendary Kawasaki H1 Mach III for example. Also, the formidable Suzuki GT 750. And finally, the underrated Yamaha 850 Special.

I love how three factories had people on hand to adjust suspension etc. while the Triumph was just some bike from showroom, and it still kicked a$$.

If I wanted to ride a motorcycle without the wind in my face, I'd consider one of these. (MV calling my name....)
