hey all,
got bike out for some riding and put the first real miles on it since winter...anyhow after a hundred or so low fuel light came on like it should...filled up and rode another hundred or so and it still won't go out....of course now it should be coming on again soon anyhow....before i start taking stuff apart is there some quick fix that i should try? was gonna fill up again and see if maybe this time it goes out but i kinda doubt it will....it does stay off for a few minutes when u start the bike then it comes on and stays on...
any and all replies appreciated..

I would try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, might re-set it for you. I'm no mechanic, so just my 2 cents.

Had the same problem with my 04. Dealer repaired it under warranty. The float was stuck down.

My bike ran out of gas while on the dyno about a month ago. ever since then the light has stayed on. it is going in for repair soon they are going to cover under warrant but had to order parts.

Same deal here. Dealer is ordering part, and fixing.

I have the same problem with my '02.

Only has 3000 miles on it, but the fuel light stays on ALL the time, even right after fill up. ANNOYING!

I'll have to have it fixed too.

I laughed out loud and my co-workers think I am crazy.

I wonder if this method would help?

who cares if it works, it's just simply fun! I can hear the explanation now, "ummmm, you see officer, I've got a stuck float, and these guys on triumphrat say that I need to wheelie this thing until it unsticks!" :-D
