finally got round to getting some photos of my recent daytona 900/ speed triple conversion pics up!!
'daytripler' heh heh.

before...

after...

pretty much there now. just got to get longer bolts and spacers to mount the horns on the bottom yoke, and put on the bonneville fly screen. that needs a respray and some minor trimming to fit. oh yeah and the sp3 clip ons. could file off the mounting lugs from the existing d900 ones to get extra clearance when on full lock, but i'd rather keep them 'sound' and try and source some orig sp3 ones from a breakers....

still its been fun- don't think i'll be going back....not after all that spannering and sourcing parts. many more changes than i intitally thought!!!!

Very nice!

I have thought about doing the same with a 2002 or newer Daytona 955, no clip ons, wide bar, and 2 more teeth on the rear sprocket, TORS, MAP and air filter.

Your bike looks awesome, very nice conversion!

Now all you need are some FCR's to bring it up to snuff - Sweet JC,though mines in the yellowing process to - so be it knownst that Yellow is thee fastest colour - FCR's make it more so!

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't the T300 Speed Triple available in yellow for one year only?

That's a sweet conversion. I'd have a tough time choosing between the two if I saw them side by side.

That's a very nice conversion JohnnyC, I definitely prefer it to the original, I'm not really into cowled bikes.

Thanks for the posting
