here we go again....i have a 95 speed triple that has served me very well. however small probems keep comming up and so far ive been able to diagnose and fix everything in my way...except this and the only reason this is giving me issues is because its not a constant problem

at first i thought it was a fouled plug...changed them out still the same boggy feeling right around 5 grand..under 5 grand smooth as silk....so i changed the fuel thinking i had gotten some contaminated fuel...added new gas everything solved....about e months later here we are and the problem resurfaced...i ghanged out the fuel...problem solved...but only for a day or 2 it came back for a few moments the onlther day but this time the bog was across the board on the rpm's in fact i had to slip the clutch to not stall the bike in traffic....then out of nowhere the bike ran fine

is this a fuel issue or a spark/ignition problem????

anyone out there have any similar problems?

I had a similar problem with my Trident (same engine) years ago. It turned out one of the coils had a crack in the epoxy and was arcing out to the frame. Originally it started to do this after riding in the rain, but later it was doing it all the time. One day I barely limped the thing home, only to notice the arcing in the dark garage.

The coils are obnoxiously expensive, so here is my fix: I carefully ground out some of the epoxy and replaced it on the faulty coil. Then, I got some of that rubber compound used for dipping tool handles and painted all of the coils with 5 or 6 coats. I haven't had any more problems in six or seven years now.

Could be your problem.

Good luck.

Best check the easiest & cheapest things first: when have all the sparkplug wires last been replaced?

On a 10+ year old vehicle the main ignition wires are bound to have cracks at some point and a spark jumping to the engine/chassis before it reaches the plug causes symptoms like you described. Sometimes it reaches the plug, sometimes not.

If the wires are faulty, usually the symptoms get worse in humid/rainy weather or after washing the bike.

Best replace the plugs also, while you are at it.

Just asking and opining as I go...

Does your bike have an electric fuel pump? If so, you might check the voltage. I agree with the other posts; check the cheap stuff first.
