Just installed my silver RIZOMA brake reservoir and boy was it easy!!! :chug: Took a total of 15 min. and the brakes were just way they were when I started ! Except better looking! I will try to post some pics of all the mods I've done when I get chance.

Hey bubble, I just bought one myself. Did you bleed the line and start new?

Can you give me an idea on the details of your fast process? I would like to put it on before the weekend.

I did a thorough bleed on mine just to be safe when I switched out to a Rizoma res.

Did you use a pump or drain the old and pump the new in via the brake lever?

I use a pump, compress the calipers a couple times, keep pumping until I see no bubbles, then I do the baby bottle for a res full or two just to be sure. Makes for excellent braking.

I'm amazed that my EBC Double H pads still have a good amount of meat on em after 6,000 miles of hard braking and stoppies...

Hrmmm, well I've gone with my local HondaKawaYamazuki dealer for pads and sprockets, but I have a link here somewhere of a place I went to look up part numbers...

For UK I found this place;

B&C Express

NewSpeed3 has a pretty good price on the equivalent Carbone Lorraine pads for the 1050.

Otherwise, Cycle Brakes has a complete listing of all the parts, so I assume you could give them a call and get em from there in the USA pretty easily. I think thats where I originally found the EBC pdf showing me which part numbers I needed to give to Hondaeast to order my pads. I have a discount there through my local bike club (Toledo Sport Bike Riders).

EBC complete parts catalog PDF. (3meg file)

swapped my tupperware for a Rizoma (PJsParts) a couple of weeks back - didn't bleed the brakes. Dumped the old reservoir, installed new one, filled, squeezed the hose "link" to push out the air. As long as you DON'T squeeze the front brake lever with the reservoir disconnected, you shouldn't need to bleed. Good luck!

vinny is right. I just make it a habit to bleed my brakes regularly just in case. With the way I ride my bike, an inopportune pocket of air would cause a real big problem, lol.
