How many of you have your knees hit your frame sliders??? I'm thinking about buying some but I don't want to have me knees resting on them... ouch could be painful...

Thinking about the Moko's.... front, frame and rear...

let me know your thoughts

The only time my knees hit my frame sliders is on a bad wheelie landing (actually happened yesterday)....but I shouldn't have been doing a wheelie in the alley anyway :-D

Other than that I've had no problems....I'm 6'

Got frame Moto's (changed from Moko a while ago) on mine.
I'm 5' 10" and my knees just about clear the sliders. If I slide forward a wee bit my knee would touch.

Cap,

I'm 5'11" and hit my knees on the sliders all the time, especially with riding pants on (knee/shin pads). It's not that bad, but is a bit unnerving when i'm riding the tank and hit a bump while braking and my knees slam into the sliders. nothing serious has happened yet, but not exactly confidence inspiring. i will say, while doing more "spirited" riding, my inside/forward knee is outside of the slider so it's not really an issue. i'm not sure if i'll replace them with the radiator mounted sliders, but if i had it to do over, i'd get those instead of the standard ones.

good luck.

I agree with buzlin. So much so that I sold my Skyking sliders.

I went with the front sliders from skyking. They mount by the radiator so no knee knocking there. :-D

I had R & G front and mid mount sliders, my knees just rested on the sliders when cruising and would tap gently against them on most bumps, I am 5 foot 9. Very annoying on a long ride. But with a change of bolts they became front mount sliders on another S3.

Cheers,
bundo

i have both engine and rad mount sliders from skyking. i'm cool w/ the setup, but in hindsight i would just get a pair of the fronts, as they stick out a bit farther anyhow. the rears wouldn't touch the ground unless the bike slid and grinded down the plastic.

might also consider the engine bar from jacklilley that connects those two points. closest thing to a crash cage available right now, plus that $hit looks ****.

Actually "Freestyle Ingenuity" makes a true crash caged for 05'-06' Speed III

On my 03 my knees hit on my sliders (mid mount). That's why on my 06 I made a set to go up by the radiator.
