Anyone fitted a BMC airfilter on the S3 05/06 yet?
Comments, opinions etc, especially with TORS and map fitted.

(K&N still sleeping over this one, no air filter from 'em yet)

I am still trying to get it from my parts people. The BMC part # 425/06.

I have the TORS and the MAP I will let you know what it I think when I get it installed. It should help a little more.

I make it #425/04 for the 1050 from BMC's website. Local dealer said nil stock from factory, but Carpi Moto seem to have them for immediate delivery.........doh!

So what's the word on this filter? Anybody have one yet? Trident wants 59 GBP which at todays exchage is like $110! That is a lot for an air filter. Other sources?

I have had one fitted for about two weeks. Haven't noticed much difference as yet, Maybe a little more response in the thottle. $110 is about right, I got mine from BMC website. It's really easy to fit too.

Got mine from Peter (Trident), almost immediate delivery. Thanks Peter!

Quality seems as good as or better than K&N.
Stock filter has metal insert with small holes which is probably ok for rigidity and flame retardation but not so good for breathability.

No degredation of driveability or hiccups or flat spots or backfires.

Haven't got bike on Dyno yet so can't comment on power/torque gains.

At least I won't have to buy another air filter for the bike.

K&N, & filters like it, not good choice, too much dirt gets through, causing premature engine wear! If your rebuilding your hot rod after every race, that's different...
