after owning the harley for 7 years, I've got enough leather coats to make a couch...

I'm looking for insight on a good jacket with protection that I can wear in the summer... down hear in North Carolina....hot and humid... not looking for a coat which is supper tight.... don't have the 20 year old stomach anymore..

opinions???

I use a Joe Rocket Phoenix jacket. Works well here in Nevada.

The Triumph raptor jacket is also very nice.....worn it in the 90's....great ventilation and good protection.

Hein Gericke Urban Camo, foshizzle. I actually have one that is a size too small for me. Need to buy a new one and sell or give away the Large. My XL Hein Gericke Timbuktu seems a little baggy though, grrr.

Just got a really neat summer jacket-Tourmaster "DRAFT" and it is cool.
It do get hot and humid in ALABAMA too!
Has armor, back plate, is all mesh, comes in XXL if needed, mine is red and black and white , has zippers to zip in the warm vest they have for their other jackets, and is $89.00 list.
Good equipment!!

I have a Joe Rocket Phoenix as well, which I'll use if it's wicked hot, but mostly wear my Vanson Perf. in summer.

Joe rockets are pretty nice. Most have zip out liners and plenty of vents in them.
