Anybody have any experience with the Givi suction cup mounted tank bags :???:

I bought the Triumph tank bag for the 06' S3 but it was butt ugly and covered the whole tank, which is in the fastest non-color, white. I just couldn't see putting that thing on my beautiful bike.

Those guys are soooo full of *****. Motech has had fuel cap mounted bags and camera mounts for a while and you don't need a key to remove them.

Have you thought about a seat bag? I sent my '05 Speed Triple seat to Luggage Locker and they made a template off of it and sent me their first Elite Seat Sak. Looks awesome and does not hide that beautiful tank. they made it so it does not mare the paint on the tail. I have even stuffed my full face helmet in there but I do not think it was actually made for that (but it gives you an idea on the size).

Very trick looking. I do not know how to post but i have pics that i can email you.

I can be reached at rbtwbbr3044@msn.com.

Ride Safe.

Paul,
hankie here, how's it going. so you bought the white one eh? Nice. What did you do with the ST?

As far as tank bags go. Your right. The tank bags for the 2005 + year models are just like the kind Bagster brand makes. Don't get me wrong the New Triumph tank bags are very nice, very effective, but ya, it does cover the entire tank. So that kind a sucks, you can't really fly your colors doing that now could you? So, do what I did. I kept my 2001 Triumph Sports Tank bag, the one made for earlier model year speed triples and Daytona from 1998 to 2004. I personally tested it buy fitting it on an 2006 Speed triple. I was surprised my self. It does fit! It does work. And easier to put on my 2006 than on my 2001. Thanks to a one-piece seat configuration on the new Trips.

Congrats on the white one. There will only be a few of those in all New England.

Just go see if Jeka has an earlier model Sports tank bag. I'm sure he does. Use your RAT discount.

Hank! What are you doing? Broken that thing in yet? I have the Triumph tank bag and the Luggage Locker Seat sak for my '01, and can pack enough gear for a long weekend.
