Well, I just got my new insurance bill for 2006. It actually went down by almost 30% ($700 in 2005 to $500 in 2006). I don't know if it's because the bike is getting older (2002), or if it's because I'm getting older (36). There wasn't really any difference between my 2004 and 2005 insurance cost.

Anybody else seeing this?

Mine dropped from $1100 to $600. Sweet, more parts.

Mine is £295 fully comprehensive, for both bikes (S3 and CBR6)

There are advantages to being old.

Mine is a whopping $150 per year! That's liability only though, I'm too cheap for full coverage! :-D

Mine did the same thing....$926 to $550.

I was new to the Ins. Co. so I just figured it was a second year deduction. That's were it should have been in the first place.

Hmm, I saw no such change and I just turned 25, the supposed magical number for auto insurance for young people. I'm paying like $1200 a year for the highest medical, comprehensive, etc. and $250 deductables.

I need to get this stupid SR22 off my license sooner so I can switch to Allstate or State Farm. Had a 12-point suspension for speeding tickets 4 years ago all in the car for stupid 10-15mph over. I was young and ignorant of the law when it comes to points and how easily I could get screwed for really lame offenses.

My advice at this point; ALWAYS HIRE A LAWYER if you want to avoid points and keep your license clean. Saved me from a reckless op ticket last year for doing a wheelie/stoppie/wheelie/stoppie combo in the downtown area. I considered it a 'wreckless operation', but the cop didn't see it that way.

I pay about 48 per month for everything except collision. I have to carry full coverage to get on base, even though florida doesn't require you to carry insurance.

You guys are lucky, mines just gone up just like it does every year!! I have triumph rider insurance and they quoted £467!!! Checked out the internet and got a quote for £366, rang the triumph broker and they matched it! Just goes to show you should never accept your renewal quote as being the cheapest!! :???:

Holy *****! You guys are getting prison molested! I pay $178/yr for 100/300 liability, and collision/comp w/ $250 deduct. That happens to be $11 less than my '80 sporster. Am Fam Insurance BTW.
