Hi folks,

It's been about 10 years since I've owned a bike. Within the next few days I will be looking at a 2002 Speed Triple (I am totally in awe of the Triple and can't see myself buying anything else).

I need help asking the right questions to make sure that the bike I buy is fit enough. I certainly know the basic/generic questions to ask, but I'm hoping that some of you can help me by suggesting some Speed Triple-specific questions.

Thanks for any help in advance.

PS, don't take offense with this newbie using the user name Captain_Rat. It's a nickname I've had since high school, it just so happens to fit damn well on this site.

I recently became an S3 owner and there isnt much to ask. There are two recall items on the bike: rear wheel bearing and fuel line. Dont believe the fuel line deal has had the official resolve. Stopped in my local dealer today and they didnt have any official repair parts but were aware of the problem.

Is it new or used?

Thanks, uptick,

I did ask about the recalls and they were taken care of. In fact, all the work was done by a local dealer. The bike comes with the Triumph carbon high pipe and sounded great. I bought the bike! I haven't picked it up yet (I will this week), so I feel like a kid waiting for the big Xmas present.
