just got back from a five day 2100 miles road trip. on my 2000 speed triple. rode from cleveland ohio to suches georgia. road the north ga roads as well as deals gap area in tenn. and north carolina. great weather and roads. went through a set of tires in 7 days got mounted right before i left and are shot right after i got home. rode 670 miles from cleveland to suches in about 13 hours straight thru. stopping only for gas and to use the restrooms. with a half hour stop for food. love the gap. and the whole area down there this is my fifth trip down first time riding down on my triple. besides it eating my rear tire in 2100 miles bike was flawless. butt is a bit sore, and hands still tingle all the time but not bad for the miles i put in. would do it again, next time i will mount sport touring tires.
