Hey I know that the exhaust thing has been beaten to death but I wanted to hear from guys who have the Jardine slip ons. Do you like them, any added power, noise factor, did you need to get the TORS Map and how much did you $$$ fork out. Installation issues etc. Thanks in advance for any responses.

I like them. I've not had the bike on a dyno, but it certainly feels like it gained some. They sound good - pretty loud, but not too much. I ended up getting a TOR installed - power, ridability improved over the stock map + no popping on decel (which was very minimal to begin with). I think I paid around $425? Getting them perfectly lined up is a pain.

I pretty much second everything MrZed said....I got mine for $369. if I remember correctly, from pipecity.com. Power gain was marginal, barely noticeable in my opinion. But they sound sooo cooool. That alone is worth the price for me. All my riding pals say it's one of the best sounding bikes they've ever heard. I did the remap, it was popping and backfiring like crazy before. I think I could be a bit rich now though, the ends of the cans are always smutty looking and the bike smells rich too. All that said, they're about the cheapest slipons around and are worth it in my opinion.

I don't think you can deny they are the best bang for the money. They sound fantastic and look good. I think they are the shortest silencers available, and are about 3/4 of an inch shorter than the factory silencers (except for the tip-downs).

I got mine from Pipe City for $369 which included shipping. A great deal! You may have to email them to order (I did) because these don't show up on their web site.

Email Kyle for assistance: kyle@pipecity.com (No, I don't work for them or am affiliated with them at all.)

The biggest down side for me is that the brackets don't fit very well and take some struggle to get right. Mine still aren't straight. It's kind of cheesy the way they work, but a bunch of other manufactures do it the same way.

Also, the Aluminum that they are made out of scratches easily. Something to be aware of.

These are a little bit loud for my tastes, but they sound good.

I recommend them.

Guys thanks for the info. Funny about the pipe city because they are about 3 miles from my house here in Az, so I will have to swing down there and see what kind of deal I can get. Just an fyi: they also have a helmet shop called "Helmet Harbor" and have some pretty good deals and as stated are really good on the customer service end of the biz............Thanks again and anyone else with more info please provide.............

I love my Jardines . ......
They sound sweet and they were cheap, but for me it had to be the TOR map because they sounded like they were going to explode when I was´nt accelerating.....

Bit hard too make them fit in line with each other, mine isn´t straight after three times of fitting......

My advice too you: BUY :-D

I had luck straightening mine out by tightening the muffler clamps first, then dealing with the bracket. I just coated the rubber part with WD-40 and worked it with my hand so it would slide around the muffler when tightened (did these fit snugly around the entire muffler for anyone? I have small gaps in mine.)

Oddly enough, mine backfires now. It never did before (I'm running TOR map, though I couldn't tell you which one.)

Mine backfired horribly with the factory map, but after the re-map to TOR all is well. I would go get an updated map to fix your problem. I think it's something to do with the ignition advance. They all run rich.

That's a cunning solution to the mounting issue, by the way.
