Does anyone know the function of the "Position lamp"
in the head light bucket of a 2006 Speed Triple??

The only thing I can think of is that oncoming traffic can
confirm that you are not flying in the inverted position!

Can I eliminate it from the circuit without harming anything else?

The pupose of those little bulbs are to illuminate your headlights when the ignition is turned to the "park" position without draining your battery as rapidly as the H4 bulbs. You'll notice that the LED brakelight also lights up when the key is turned to "park".

Probably not, Tracker. But some days I feel considerably older than my 31 years!

Cheers.
