Any suggestions to bling up the miserable looking radiator cap?

I peeled the warning sticker off of mine. It's a real head turner down at the Sonic now. I'll post pictures and instructions if anyone is interested.

I took a stick-on fake CF tankpad and cut it to fit over the cap. Bling! It looks so-so but better than stock anyway.

After the sticker flew off on the freeway somewhere I tried painting the copper bit black. It helped. Some. Until the paint peeled.

I want to do a whole custom aluminum radiator. I've been thinking about it, but I don't have a TIG welder and custom shops are expensive.

Heh, if I lived anywhere near you I'd do the welding for you for a reasonable price. Need to get more argon for the TIG and get around to hooking up the new torch kit we got for gas welding aluminum. I love welding.

Thanks for the offer. I like TIG welding too, but I don't have the facilities. The shop I work in now only has one TIG machine, and it's a piece of canine excrement.

The idea I had was to build a radiator with the tanks on the top and bottom instead of on the sides. This would allow you to simplify the hoses and the routing quite a bit and clean up the plumbing. Also I think I would integrate the oil cooler with it, although it would still be air to oil. Probably it would be larger, and possibly it would be convex curved.

Just dreams really. If I worked in the aluminum shop I used to work in it would be more plausible. I could build all kinds of cool stuff there.
