Hi Wolf, it looks very good. As you may remember I have
your wolf carbon cans on a 2006 ( which are different than the cans pictured ). Will I be able to fit the new pipe to
the "old" can? Will you sell it separately , how much?

Thanks Tracker

Peter,

Thanks for all of the posts and replys you put into this forum, it shows that you really do support Triumph in general and the Speed Triple specifically.

I am R. Webber in Phoenix, AZ USA and was the one that emailed you today. Thanks for the quick response and I just wanted to clearify a few things with you. I figured I would do it here so everyone can benefit from it and so you don't have to repeat yourself over and over.

First: I have seen two styles of end tips on your cans. The flush ones and the ones with the tips. Have you converted/ updated/ modified/ etc... all of your cans for the '05-'06 Speed Triple to the flush ends (no tips)? If so I love the looks of those with the Trident badge, they rock, Excellent choice! The looks of your cans are the main reson I want them besides the performance and weight benefit.

Second: I am looking for the most performance including peak hp and torque as well as quality of power. Stock the bike is too quiet. The TOR's are in the ball park but I would not mind a little louder. Are the slip-ons and the half system the same cans with the exception of the addition of the Y pipe and assorted bits needed for the lower part of the system, but the cans themselves are the same, is this ture?

If that is the case are they considered "race" cans and thus they do not have a baffle or is there one and it is removable? Also are these systems rated at about 102db. If it is that sounds good to me and probably plenty loud enough.

108 db is very loud (but not a bad thing, my harley roars), but what does that do for performance? Is it the same or is there some kind of trade off in either hp/ torque/ power delivery or all of them because of the internal mods that you do to the can? Or is the performance the same and it is just louder just to be louder?

Lastly: for now
I heard that Carbon Fiber cans cannot hold up to dyno runs? Is that an old wives tale or is there some truth to it due to the heat build up. It sounds silly but i am going to have the bike dynoed again after they are put on.
I speak only for myself but thanks again for all of your patience to all of our questions. :-D

Ok - you can choose either with or without the end tips - the cans otherwise are the same - it's just a matter of whether we weld on the spout or not. Just specify which look you prefer

The end cans we now supply with the 1/2 system are idential in looks to the cans we supply alone but have a larger inlet to make full advantage of the 1/2 system and hence the xtra power

You can choose race cans or legal with removable baffles - both are available but bear in mind the legal cans are only tested as legal in the UK - they are certainly quieter but I don't know if they meet US legal limits. When the baffle is out they are the same as the race cans

The 108 dB cans WHICH WE DO NOT MAKE NORMALLY - can be ordered if you want extra loud - power is almost no different as the main factors that effect power are not changed too much - they will be about 0.8 bhp less than the "normal" race cans which no one will even notice

Our carbon will stand up to dynos, nuclear blasts, my girlfriends temper, anything!! We use very high quality pre-preg that is rated to 450 degrees C where everyone else uses carbon rated to around 180 degrees - so you'll have no problem at all on the dyno!!

Hope this helps!

Thank you Peter!

It's great to see vendors and manufacturers get more involved with the end user.

Great looking product!

Your site is not updated.
I forgot to disable my bushmill-induced-mind-fogginess so what is the exact price of the half system?

Nice looking system! Do you offer that in polished stainless? Are you willing to sell it without the badges? If so, please post or PM with a price.

Drainbamage - the prices are on the site in $, £ and Euro - as you're in Portugal then in Euro its 865 for the half system with stainless silencers or 1000 Euro with carbon or titanium silencers

Curmudgeon - you have PM
