The cans alone give around 7-8 bhp gain over stock
The 1/2 system gives around 12 bhp gain

Something tells me the difference of 4-5 bhp is with the actual half system, not taking the seperate cans and then buying the pipe.

"The end cans we now supply with the 1/2 system are idential in looks to the cans we supply alone but have a larger inlet to make full advantage of the 1/2 system and hence the xtra power"

Wolf, can you please clarify? I think we are asking so many questions as those of us who already have the cans might be happy to pay for the extra piping too depending one how much extra power AND sound improvement we get? Thanks for continuing to follow up with us.

The original testing we did with the 1/2 system was with the cans you now have. We then developed it further with larger inlets. The difference between the two results is around 2 bhp - hence we quote 12-14 bhp gain as it depends on the cans

So in short - normal cans with 1/2 system will give about 4 bhp extra - special 1/2 system cans will give about 2 more than that

I never did noise tests between the two...

aaronb_dsn, if you or anybody else goes this route and puts these pipes on with your existing cans let me know what you think.

I will do the same.

aaronb_dsn, I understand your setup. I have the same. Hence I'm considering adding the pipe.

I'm doing pretty good since all that BS. Especially since I read some posts about a certain someone always causing a bunch of problems for no good reason and basically being a pain in the...

Anyway, I need to say nothing. And still looking to borrow a copy of that thing from someone.

Peter,

Thanks again for the info. I will be ordering them on sunday so if possible you can send them out on monday (I will take into account time difference).

One last question: I want the half system with race cans. However is there any disadvantage to doing the half system with the legal cans and just having you ship them to me with the baffles not installed. then this way just in case i want to try and pass emissions, i can try it with the baffles in and go through emissions. If it does not work i can always put my stock cans back on and have them reprogram with stock map.

My question is this. Are the legal cans with removable baffles exaclty the same as the race cans (ie bigger inlet to go along with the larger pipes on the half system) or is there a slight comprimise (like they are the cans with the smaller inlet to fit the stock pipework)? If there is a comprimise i won't order it that way and will go with the half systme with race cans.

thanks again.

Hi

The baffles wont really help with emmissions and only fit the smaller bore cans so go with the full on race and just swap back to stock for emmissions

If you order Sunday, yes I can get them shipped out to you Monday on a 4 day service
