dumb question I know, but I can't find it in the owner's manual, and judging from the dipstick, it's looking like around 4 liters. Is this right??? It's for a 1050 triple. Thanks in advance!

CB, it 3.7 liters. However, take your time adding the last bit, it is very easy to overfill. I'm trying to work up the exact amounts at dipstick bottom, dipstick line one and full. It is a very small amount though.

I concur with HiVel. The 3.4 quarts he mentioned = 3.22L. With a filter change, I have found 3.25L to be bang on. It's important to understand that the oil level should be measured with the dipstick screwed in all the way and with the bike standing upright.

Having previously owned several Hondas for comparison, the S3 owners manual is comparitively quite sad - lacking numerous basic bits of info. That said, with the oil filter and drain plug mounted close together on the underside of the oil pan, the S3 is the easiest oil change I've ever done. Don't be put off a fantastic bike by a fairly lame owners manual!

I would definately have to agree that it was the easiest oil change I've ever done!!! Of course, I'm also used to having to take off some plastic to even get to the oil filter. Naked bikes rule!!! :kck:

I agree changing the oil on my Duc is a pain in the balls. Thank god for K&N with their head bolt so you don't need any special tools to remove the filter.
