Has anybody bought a paddock stand that lets you remove the front wheel from the bike. Of course with the back wheel on a stand too. I have one made by a company called Champion which was fine when I used it with my GSXR750. Unfortunately is no good when used with by Triumph rear stand. When you try to lift the front wheel the back end trys to roll off the Triumph stand. Potential disaster.... The only solution would be to anchor the rear stand to stop the drag forward effect.

My dealer could not help with a solution so its over to the boys on Triumphrat.net

If you have overcome this a picture of how you've done it would be great.

Cheers

I have this one

Works OK with the rear stand from the same firm. Do you mean the rear tries to escape sideways or the rear stand tries to roll backwards? If sideways, I would strap the stand on the rear swingarm. If backwards, I would strap the front of the bike to the wall so the bike cannot move backwards at all or put wedges around the rear stand.

One thing to note when getting front lifts like the above is that you get the asymmetrical end pieces for the stand. The right hand fork leg is ~2cm longer than the left, so with a symmetrical stand the bike leans a bit too much for comfort.

Yes, I have the Pit Bull One-Armed rear stand and New Front stand. They work well. If I didn't already have these, I'd consider the Abba swingarm stand, which allows you to get either end off the ground.

The Oxford is very much like the sar-10 Martin_R has shown.
dead easy to use and very stable. £30 from M+S. Not bad eh.
