There are a lot of new people getting Speed Triples lately, so I thought we need a thread to introduce our selfs.

Post up a little information about your self, so we can all get to know each other.....

Maybe if we get enough interest it can become a sticky......

Okie-dokie,

Name: Douglas

Occupation: curmudgeon

Age: Yes

Sex: Please

First bike: 1974 CZ400 death machine. (luckily it was stolen so I never managed to hurt myself with it.)

First Triumph: 1964 TT Special street legal (barely). Complaints- ET ignition. Amal monoblock carburetors. Mounds bar shaped seat. Whitworth fasteners. Sold to a collector who thankfully restored it.

Situation: Single (not that this will achieve anything here.)

Sense of humor: Frightens small animals and third world countries. Repels women better than halitosis.

Socks: Wool

Michael, Mick, never Mike and not to early in the morning.

47 years old and been riding since age 12, mostly in the dirt until about 15 years ago.

Married and divorced twice - now living in sin.

Marketing Manager for IT software company, dance teacher, amateur actor and Harley tour operator.

Speed Triple is the first Triumph, but I do own an AMF Harley and I'm proud of it. Have had only 10 bikes in my history of riding.

Mick

Bikes: Been riding just shy of 2 years and the S3 is only my second bike, the first being a Suzuki GS500. With not too much riding time I try to take it easy on the S3, but it does bring out the hooligan in me at times

Job: Originally an auto electrician but have been in IT for the last 10 years doing IP network related things. Looking for a new career.

My S3: Lives inside the terrace house, right beside me as I type this, but for how much longer I cannot say, my partner may soon demand it's removal...

Cheers,
Steve aka bundo

I currently have 4 bikes and I am shopping for number 5, a KLR-650. My 74 R90/6 BMW is my long distance solo machine. My 83 GS1100 Suzuki is my bad bike / dragster, my 90 Yamaha FJ1200 is my two up long distance sport tourer, and my 05 S3 is my Hooligan machine. I also had an 02 S3. I had many bikes before these.

I started riding dirt when I was 9, My first bike was a Honda CL-90. My first time on a motorcycle was when I was 5 or 6 on my Dad's 48 Indian.

I am a wireless communications consultant and a C.O. Engineer. I have another job that I can't mention here. I love to fish, travel, and great food. And long romantic walks on the beach, WAIT a minute this is not that kind of a forum. I am divorced, two wonderful kids, beautiful and sweet girlfriend.

I believe in making as many new friends as I possibly can and also learning from others.

Ton Up!

I love to wheelie!!!

Machine: I learned on a 1969 Honday S90, I should have kept that little thing! But just last year I made the small step up to a 1995 S3. I still consider myself and inexperienced rider- as I will for many years regardless of how many miles I put on.

Occupation: Recent graduate from Clarkson University (Spring 05) and am no working as a Project Engineer in beautiful crime free Newark, NJ building a high school for the "kiddies"

Location: From Albany, NY and some day I'll return there. Now I'm cramped in a NJ 1 bedroom apartment with one of my old college friends trying to save a little cash. The bike and all my tools reside in a tiny little "garage" with no power or heat- it makes working on the bike that much more of a challenge!

Current collection of bikes:
2006 Triumph Speed Triple
2004 Honda NRX1800 Rune
2002 Honda GL1800 Gold Wing
1998 Honda Valkyrie Tourer
1988 Honda CBR1000F Hurricane
and my wife's
2004 Honda VT750CA Aero
2005 Honda VTX1300R

Former Rides:
Too many to list, and at my age, probably too many to remember.

I've been riding motorized 2 wheelers since I was 5. I started on minibikes, worked up to dirt bikes, and ended up street riding in the late '60's.

My first new street bike was a '69 Bonneville, followed by a '72 Norton Commando, and than a '77 Harley XLCR. I wish I still had all three of them.

My new way of dealing with it is, don't sell 'em, add another bay on the garage.
