Sat on the new Daytona 675 yesterday and here is with I figured out without riding it,

WOW!
Light
Agile
One finger to squeeze the clutch
Slim
Great posture, riding position

Can't wait to demo ride it this summer.

You'll love it. I was suprised by how much low-end grunt the 675 had. I'd really like to see a streetfighter version of that motor.

yeah, I've been trying to talk my dealer into letting me test ride one! Problem is, I think it's something like the first 10 they're getting are pre-sold! I can't believe that the only new one they've received(graphite- looks awesome, btw!), has been sitting there about 3 or 4 weeks for the guy to come pick it up. If I had been waiting on one of those bad boys that I had a deposit on, I'd be helping them uncrate the freak'n thing as it was coming off the truck! But everyone else is right, that thing looks anorexic it's so skinny!

I just got to see one this weekend at a bike show. It looks like a really nice piece for the track. A little too small for me to live with day to day.

One thing I noticed, though, is that the brake didn't have any mushiness in it like the new S3. The calipers look identical, so I wonder if a master cylinder swap with 675 will tighten up the S3's brakes.

Good point! I noticed the difference.
I really like the way the clutch felt.

My dealer has been offering test rides for the past month. Not taken him up on the offer as yet but will as soon as the weather improves. One of the mechanics has been testing in Spain as he is due to ride one in the British Supersport championship. Obviously he thinks its awesome!!

We should all post our first ride on the 675. And compare notes.
