Was going for a ride this morning . got out on the road and looked down at the gauges and the oil pressure light was comming on dim at first and then got brighter, I suddenly shut it off and coasted off the road .Checked to see if it full of oil was full which it was so I started it up again and the light went out I sat there for a few seconds no light so I headed back home and it done the same thing . Got home (luckly I was a block from my house)and let it sit there and idle no light revved a couple times no light. The only strange noises are the lifters are tapping a bit louder . There is about five hundred miles on this oil change and 14k on the bike so ***

Sounds like a known problem that was the subject of a recall. You should have got a leter from your dealer, but give them a ring and tell them to fix it for you. It's a problem with an oil sensor.
