is this a problem on the new spd 3's?

Hey gang, I seem to remember reading about the 955 triple's having problems if they are laid down on the left side...oil getting into the cylinders. Anyone know if this is still an issue with the new speed triple? Thanks in advance.

No. It even ceased to be a particular problem with the 955 after 2001.

The Tiger had the hydraulic lock problem, and a rerouting of the breather hose is the cure. When laid on the left, according to RIDE magazine, the left cylinder could ingest oil draining "up" the hose. Cross the hose over, so it goes uphill.
