If your bike will not pull it in first easily, then it's "shagged". I have no idea where TonUp comes up with that stuff, unless he had dropped a tooth on the sproket.

I have to clutch up second to get a consistent strong wheelie.

Third needs pumping or standing with clutch.

Fourth needs a ramp or parachutte.

people keep saying that it just pops up if you get to 3000rpm then open it up but mine doesnt. are blokes pulling the front up or sitting well back.

tips please or is my bike shagged
Celt, the key is, get it to 3k rpm, and whack it, you can't roll on it, it has to have that instant throttle delivered, then just back off a little once she comes up! Just be careful, she really will shoot up with ya fairly quick when you whack it open! Good luck! :-D

Cover your rear brake, with your foot - that'll slow the rear wheel if the puckering is too much! Letting her crash down hard will burden yer fork seals.

It likes to power wheelie on the first four gears!!!, it takes a little more effort on 4th. The S3 is a wheelie monster. Be careful she comes up very quick on the first two gears.

Ton Up!
I haven't tried fourth yet, but I am sure it is there!! I am still "breaking" mine in

Hi Dwarf!

It's called practice, practice and practice, and also knowing how to fully use your power band.

My gearing is all stock, Maybe someday we will meet and ride together and perhaps I can demonstrate how to power wheelie the S3. I really want to help.

Be careful an cover the rear brake.

I know :-D
Just wanted to tell that my bike won't "power" wheelie without any effort in 4th. I can wheelie in 3th by using the clutch...but no way to "power" wheelie in 3th gear on my bike.
