What are the ergos like on these bikes? Are you guys making any changes, or are they pretty good right out of the box? I'm just over 5'9 155, long-ish torso. (and my Duc SS is killing me, see the ST page)

It is more or less of a sit up and beg position with a slight forward cant. I like it and I am
5'9'' and fat! Seat takes some getting used to and so it goes. Try it you will love it!

It's all relative... Compared to my RC51, it's like riding a friggin La-Z-Boy!

Good out of the box. The bars could be a bit wider, but the bend suits me and my lanky 6'4" body just fine. It is such an upright position that it should suit pretty much all shapes and sizes quite well.

I remember getting a wristache on the Duc Monster, that I do not get with the S3. The riding position on the Duc is more forward slanted as the bars have less sweep on them.

I'll 2nd that! I love the ergos of my S3. But of course I'm comparing them to 7 years worth of R1's! :-D

Btw, I'm 6' and 200lbs.

I'm 5'10" and 160 pounds, with a 30" inseam. It sounds like we're about the same size. I've come from riding BMW GS motorcycles for the last 6+ years. I find the Speed Triple a little less comfortable than my GSes, which had more leg room, higher and wider bars, and windshields. However, compared to sporty motorcycles, it's very comfortable. The only thing I find tiresome is the persistent blast of freeway riding at 80 mph. Since I rarely ride on freeways, I find it comfortable enough for all day rides.
