Hey gang sorry for silly question, but who makes (mass produces) an quality after-market seat for the 2006 Speed Triple?

Back in '01 when I bought my first speed 3 I was able to put a Corbin on it right away. It was wonderfull. I'm now in process of purchasing an 06 speed 3 and was wondering if any of the manufacturers (i.e. Corbin, Sergent,...et. all)had come up with anything yet?

Any thoughts would help.

No one. The best you can do is have Sergent customize yours if you send it to them.

Don't ask me why, seems the 1050 has been around long enough to warrant Corbin to make one.

The gel seat for my 2003 was actually firmer than stock so I went the subframe swap route and got a Corbin. Keep in mind they'll do a custom seat if you send in your stock seat...

I heard the gel seat sucks... Corbin it supposedly doing one. Just not done yet...

Thanks gang. Brettmess, ya, I did look into the gel seat option with Triumph but have not heard anything spectacular about them.

Sergent did send me a response to an e-mail saying only that they will have one out in summer of 05. I know, I think it must have been a type-o. right? Also, doesn't it sound like a kind of a "canned" response? Anyway, I was hoping they meant 06. They also offered to do a custom fit one for me but it would cost more than their mass produced one. So when they say some time this summer, I am hoping early summer or even spring.

As you may already know for 2005 and forward, the Speed Triple is now a full one-piece seat for rider and passenger. Had my seat replaced under warrenty - small rip in the cover - and managed to get the gel seat as a replacement, only did a 100 mile stint after fitting and didn't get a numb ass, I think it's slightly wider at the front and def more 'grippy' wasnt sliding backwards everytime the front came up.

10 / 10 from me for what it's worth
