Just to let you guys know,if I had it to do over again I would go with the S3 over the Bonneville.
Did I mention that the S3 is faster than the Bonneville?
I'm still with this guy! Had no idea the S3 was faster than the Bonnie!

Looks like the S3 boys got stirred up a little? Well I would have never thunk it? Namecalling and threats have prevailed. Oh well, I know which 05 bike I like best.
Anyone else here own both bikes to give a first hand comparison? Didn't think so.
Bottom line, if you like Triumphs and horsepower, the Daytona is hands down the choice. If you like doing wheelies and all the torque in by 5K RPM, then the S3 is for you. The S3 is NOT for me cause I like to go fast. Period.

Just seems weird that the Busa wouldn't be your favorite then...of course I have heard the argument that it is just to heavy for the twisties....

I don't think any of us think the S3 is the best bike in the world (My favorite is the MV Agusta F4) we just don't understand the argument of the Daytona being faster than the S3, we all know that already?

Jack, the Busa is a heavy lowrider. It wasn't made to corner alongside the Gixxr 1000 or any other bike.
You see, I went too far with the boost thing. Even at my body weight (250 LBS.) an unridable bike is just that, an unridable bike. The wheel won't stay down in any gear.
The Daytona is a nice compromise between the S3 and the Busa.
My 05 S3 is for sale. It's a nice bike but it has to go.

Really, this reaction is unexpected?! I can't think of why you'd have gone to the trouble of cross-posting your view that you prefer the S3 to the Daytona in the S3 forum, other than to get the S3 guys stirred up.

Incidentally, since---from your first post to this thread---hard acceleration at 110 mph, is important to you, I can understand why you prefer the Daytona. It's irrelevant to me. I prefer the S3 because of its comfortable riding position and broad spread of power.

Yeah, well, what did you think would happen when you went trolling for no apparent reason?

I saw your post as part of the thread in the Daytona forum, where it made sense in the context of what people were already talking about. To take it out of that context and plunk it down here on its own without any context is inflamatory, and is just deliberate provocation.

I hope you don't draw cartoons of prophets in your spare time too.

Yous guys are so funny and very easilly riled.
Must be the boring retoric in this forum?
Uh, what's the best muffler? Is a Tune Boy better than a PC?
How much HP can I get with a Tune boy? Tune boy is programable and an PC is not. Do you like my windscreen? What tires are best? Pilot Powers are inferior.
Why can't I open my gascap?
Daytonas are faster, not kidding.

Hey Mad, that 'busa with the strap-on - if you like to go fast - why don't you sell it?! Or you could spend loads a money and convert the S3 to the world's first 1050 Daytona, get the tuneboy and re-map it to Daytona characteristics(?) - that would be smart let alone cool. Have you ridden the 675 yet ? - to have someone on this site who owns every single bike even - would he be an authority in a day - or what?
