I've got a stainless bolt a lot like Nissn's, but I didn't have to chrome it since it is stainless. On the other side, I've got a blackened steel allen plug, but its a little rusty.

Those are all good fixes for the right side.

I also found out that the left side can be cleaned up by ordering the same part but for the 05/06 sprint st. this part does not have the female threaded hole for the mirror because (obviously) the sprints mirrors mount to the fairing. I think it costs about 10 bucks but it is easily ordered from any triumph dealer. I have it and love it. Sorry but i cannot post i pic. because i am a computer idiot.

ride safe.

If I could figure out how to post a pic from my camera phone I could show you what it looks like.
I went to Lowes and found the hex heads that fit.(10mm 1.25 thread pitch ) I used Emery
cloth to take the marking off and used black appliance enamel spray paint to paint them. (You will need to cut them down to 12mm)
when you use the emery cloth lay it flat on the floor rub the bolt in
a figure 8 that will keep the head flat.

scottst, it would be awesome if you could send a couple my way. I've put on the rizoma bar end mirrors, and those holes have got to be covered up. If you could contact me through e-mail I would be willing to send you a check or something. Thanks.

The easiest and free way to clean up the lh side is take your original part, and simply turn it upside down! Sure the hole is still there, but it's not seen at all! That's what I did, but now I just need to find a good looking bolt for the rh side, the one I have is awful looking! :hammer:

cheap

Get one of these. They look great and they are definitely strong enough to hold the reservoir. You can get them from most any bicycle shop.

If you just want to plug up the holes your dealer can supply the plastic plugs used on the early T3 daytonas Trophy etc - they had mirror holes in the master cylinders which were not used (mirrors on fairings). The plugs had hemispherical (button) heads and disguised the mount holes well. I think they cost me about 25 cents each from my dealer.
