Just a question about the Fuel light. When it comes on, it comes out as yellow. I generally stop by a service station soon after and fill up again. Normally the tank only taking about 12-13 litres of petrol.

Now, the question is, does the fuel light go from yellow to red if the petrol tank is really empty? If so, how much petrol is left in the tank or are you already running on fumes?

I'm too chicken to see if the tank light goes from Yellow to red.... :-D

No the light does not change colors it is just a crappy sytem. Check out this forum. I know I can get 165 miles per tank so I always play it safe and fill up between 140-150. Fuel Light

The light remains yellow. When you initially turn the ignition key on the system tests all indicator lights and the fuel low light only shows yellow. When the bike stops that should probably be enough of an indication you're out of fuel.

Ah righty-oh. When bike stops. no gas. Right.

Its interesting that Triumph uses a yellow light. It's a little hard to see during the day time over here. I would have thought that red would have been better. I missed it a couple of times when I first got the bike and didn't realize that the light had come on.

Thanks guys.
