Seems like I am the poor relation on this forum. Don't have a car I can call my own. On the rare occasion I need to use one I borrow the wifes 04 Astra.
If I need one for work related jobs I can't get to on the bike I have what ever the hire company sends. It suits me fine as don't like driving that much I would prefer to ride. At least any money that a car would take up can be spent on the bikes.

Actually, you're not the only one. I just didn't reply earlier, because I don't have a S3, either. Well, at least not yet.

My only motorised vehicle has two wheels only. I used to have a tin cocoon, an Opel Vectra (Vauxhall Cavalier in the UK, Chevy ...something in the US) but I sold it and traded it for an enduro bike a couple of years ago. I think I might be able to afford one today, but so far I have chosen not to get one.
Perhaps I'll need one later on, though, and I think I'd like to have something like a Jeep Wrangler or something along that line, a lightweight on-off road car, or perhaps a sporty station wagon รก la Alfa-Romeo. Or a van, to carry bikes and stuff. However, I'd rather spend more money on bikes than on a tin can on wheels, so I might settle for a decent used tin can, like the one I used to have. Tin cans are boring.
Well, perhaps my friend's Alfa GTA is an exception...
