Okay guys, here is one for you.

Got a new triple and from day one when I go to fuel her up there is quite a vacume on the filler, as in you cannot pull it open with just the key.
I have checked that the breather hoses are not crimped anywhere, and the bike still runs okay it just doesn't seem right, any ideas?

Thanks in advance

The vent line has a check valve to prevent fuel spills in case of tipover. Sometimes they are defective...and sometimes they're just plain installed wrong side up. That may be the source of the vacuum.

Like Diego said: it's the valve on the breather line. It only works right when it is mounted vertical and not on an angle. Blowing some thin oil through it also helps if it is stuck.

Simple fix is to remove the one way valve altogether.

Thanks guys - Looked through the triumph service manual (arrived yesterday) and noticed that it said "make a note of which breather goes where" (2 of them) swaped them over this morning and the pressure has been released.

Such a simple thing, you would think that they would have colour coded the pipes or something - hey ho - we live and learn

On mine the line with the valve is closer to the middle of the bike.
