Found this on a web site, looks really, really neat. Expensive though. Anyone tried one? Got to be the way to go. Better that standard indicators or aftermarket. If you click on the light on the web site it shows you how the indicators work. They are at amcmotorcycles.com
Custom LED taillight for the Triumph 05 Speed Triple and Triumph 05 Sprint ST. Ultra bright integrated tail light combines your turn signals inside the factory tail light for a smooth quality look. This is an integrated tail retrofit for the stock 2005 Triumph Speed Triple. All the internals of the stock tail light are replaced with a Custom LED circuit board containing 56 Ultra Bright Red LEDs and 50 Ultra Bright Yellow LEDs - compared to only 20 red LEDs on the stock circuit board. Just as on the other Custom LED models, the system is designed so that the red LEDs turn off (on one side) when the yellow comes on so that the turn indication is a pure yellow light. The unit automatically flashes between the red and yellow on the side you're turning! The Yellow LEDs are slightly offset as well, creating a dramatic attention grabbing effect. The engineering is solid and dependable, the looks are unbeatable, and the brightness is incredible! Don't waste your time with half hearted solutions, do it the right way from the start, with Custom LED.

I can also order them much cheaper in the Netherlands, but I'm too afraid it won't be clear enough when you use the turn signals.
I've seen it with other bikes, it's not very clearly to see
Here's my link, they sell them for 100,- Euro (not on their site yet):

Umm, no. I prefer for the cager behind me to actually see where the I am turning, instead of mowing over me wondering why my rear light is flashing.

Yes, perhaps I'm a bit conservative, too, but that kind of light sounds quite, umm, American. (re: the flashing only tail lights in US-made cars)
Perhaps it'll look and work better when seen live, but I think I'd still prefer old-fashioned turn indicators. Furthermore, I think it's not sure that a light/indicator unit like that will pass the regulations in some countries. Sometimes there are regulations that dictate the minimum distance of the indicators from each other. Unless the bike has such a light system as new, and has been passed in the MOT of a new model.
Even though I'm not sure if anyone has actually been stopped and fined for having those fashionable mini blinkers in the tail plate, only a couple of inches apart. Anyway, that may be neat, but I'm not sure if I would want to have it, either. At least I could live without one. When you out there among the semi-blind drivers inside their tin cans and law&order officials with ticket-happy fingers, you may be willing to accept some compromises.

Hey 1050POME, check out the Post " Resistors Question"
2006-02-03. Also you have to cut off the stock lens
very carefully and then glue it back on. I liked the finished
product but was surprised by some of the instructions and
some things that were not said about resistors.

I've got one... It isn't a particularly easy install, but the LED maker will do the conversion for free.
Overall, it is a great addition, very bright and the turn signals are a different color (yellow) and WAY brighter than the stock signals. Very obvious, no confusion when the signal is on. A great upgrade in my opinion. The resistor issue is only an issue if you mind the blinkers blinking more rapidly. If so, you can purchase a different flash unit... problem solved.

I love mine. It was a headache. But the end result is awesome in my opinion.
I think the regular real indicators are horrid.

Geof3 and plague1050, did you both get the units the same as the ones I'm thinking of ? How much faster do the turn signals flash? Geof, what do you mean the LED supplier will do the install? I think they would be much easier to see, can't see the point in the comments regarding safety. As far as legalities, once I start obeying speed limits and riding on 2 wheels I'll worry about that...

I purchased mine from www.newspeed3.com. I think the others were refering to a blinker delete that simply wires the flasher into the tail light. This is a totally different deal. The LED board has two different color LED's that do their thing independently. Very cool.
The instructions provided with mine stated the removal of the rear lense can be difficult (definately) and if so inclined can be sent into the company that makes the LED's (not newspeed3) and they will do the mod for you for free.
There is a tail light copy that is cheaper I have seen on Ebay. Looks similar, but not as robust. I could be wrong. This board is VERY well made and the wiring is extremely easy. It's the removal of the tail light lense that is the hard part... It is a real PITA in fact. Very easy to crack the lense...
Still, it is a very cool upgrade and I'm really happy with mine...
