Found this on German Ebay and think the front looks sweet, what do you all think?

Hmm... that's a '99 509, right?

Not as bad as it could. Looks like a light set stolen from a Beemer, but it doesn't look too bad, IMO. In such matte black finish. I've seen much worse, and that shows more taste than some monstrosities.
I don't mind the look of the original, but I could imagine riding that, too. The only flaw in that style is the pipes/silencer. In that kind of colour scheme, the pipes should be black, and the silencer should be a carbon can. It would look even better that way.
IMO, anyway.

You're exactly right. That's the setup from BMW's R1150R Rockster.

I like it....Mines red with semi flat black frame, front of tank, and fly screen, sometimes I take the flyscreen off. I really like the bike, and love the wider rear tire! I would be interested in doing the same mod to mine to further set it off

looks good to me. I have always thought that some sort of small bikini fairing would help, this is on the right track IMHO

No such thing. 509's were 97-98. 99 was the first year of the 955.

And I don't like the BMW front end...

I thought 97 was the t509, 98 and 99 were the t595 (still carb'd), and 2000 and 01 were the 955i (switched to FI)?

if the headlights were the same size and the turnsignals built in to the sidepods instead of on stalks then id like it.
