Hey all

Names Adam and i'm 32 from whitstable in kent UK,

Sorry if im in a US section when i should be in UK one,but all seems to be same place?

Occupation- motorcycle instructor

previous occupation- triumph dealer service manager for local dealer.

worked in dealership from 01/03 and the amount of fubar triumphs i had to deal with (along with their pipe smoking owners ) was unbelivable , put me off the big T for life.

Then the new speed triple came out...

must say i'm hooked on it ,had a brief test ride on one ,sadly was raining at the time so didnt get a feel for it at all and actually came away a bit dissapointed.

Had 5 bikes last year and lost a mint trading em in etc, but still looking for the perfect ride for me.

Got a proper f00ked back so cant go for racing bikes and tbh i'm past that now, looked at the new fz1 but i didnt get on with the old one so not convinced about new one, and dont really want another il4.

so brings me back to the trifle.

we run about 6 trips to the nurburgring each year for people who havent been before or want the hassle taken out of the trip for them, and im wondering whos had their s3 out on a trackday yet and what it performs like nailing it and hanging off it (any pics appreciated) is it up to the job, now i'm no rossi but i dont hang around either so do need a fair level of stablity and handling .

any experinces or comments welcome.

just saw that 3 into 1 pipe that guy has and i want one, any uk suppliers for it?

gonna make a decsion in next month or 2 so looking for some good feedback for the bike, or any links to roadtests that arnt cut and paste jobs from the triumph site.

oh and i'm sure i heard somewhere that black ones are fastest.....

Adam

Personally, I think having the separate sites for other countries is a pain in the ass. I love hearing what you guys are doing to your bikes overseas.

Welcome to the forums and enjoy the ride! Lots of information to be found on here as well as t595.net.

I just got my white S3 last week and I love it! I finally got to ride it today [no snow or wind] and it was awesome!

I agree separate sites for different countries would be stupid. Hearing from folks all over the world is what keeps me coming back to this forum!

Welcome and I am sure you'll love the 3 as much as I have so far. :-D

Welcome Qual.
I agree with every body else that world input makes for
a great forum ( how could someone think of keeping the
Brits out of a TRIUMPH forum :-D )
I have a 2006 with about 300 miles. The dealer said nothing was changed from 2005. The test bikes I rode at
BikeToberfest in Daytona had a very little more from brake
lever free play than usual ( but I probably would not have noticed that if I had not read it in the forum. My 06 has
a perfect front brake.
Modifications so far : Jack Lilley carbon fenders/HUb cover,
Mikes Grills,Carbon frame protector, seat cowl, combo
tail light/turn signal LED's and got Pit Bull front and rear stands which are really great. I am thinking about a
steering damper and maybe TuneBoy or Power Commander.

Hey Adam

Honestly, when looked at scientifically the Blue Speed Triples are the fastest. You see, blue light has a shorter wavelength (blue=short red=long) and therefore has higher energy. Of course, anything with a higher energy rating would also be faster. Black indicates a lack of energy output, and therefore would be the slowest. The high-energy White and Yellow Speed Triples are also pretty fast, but not as fast as the Blue bikes. :-D

This is one of the nicest forums in the world, with good blokes from Australia, America, England, The Netherlands, Scotland, Sweden, Canada, New Zealand, Spain, and a hundred other places that I'm probably forgetting. Cheers to them all, the brotherhood of the triple!

Welcome, and glad to hear from you.

While there is a separate section for UK RAT activities, but so far as the bikes themselves, we're all in this together and darned glad of it!

Crashmasterd is almost correct. However Black ( as in black
holes in the universe ) just pulls in ALL the energy from
everything and keeps it within itself to unleash when
it needs to.

I forgot to say that I have also added Wolf cans to my
BLACK Speed Triple. :-D
