hey bung, didn't you install raask bars recently? What happened, you're not happy with them anymore? I was just about to look into a set, but if you know something i dont... ?

The Raask bars are great. I just want something a little more aggressive.

I went and remounted the woodcrafts with the bars angled up since the degree down is a bit much for longer rides. I found this out riding from Laconia to Maine the other weekend and I figured by switching the bars upward this would alleviate the problem but still give me the aggressive stance for the twisties where this bike reallys shines. Loads of fun playing with the jap bikes and their steering dampers which still don't seem to help much. I'll let everyone know how this works and thanks to mbernier for the needed help in this matter.

Bung, if you're getting rid of your raask and they're in good shape, maybe you'd sell 'em?

Any of you guys managed to mount the Woodcraft's without needing to remove the fly-screen? I've put mine on but I've had to take the screen off - now behind my instruments is bare, and doesn't look too great - is there small cover you can get for the back of the instrument panel on an '03 or do I have to make do with what I've got?

Bungle,

There is a cover, I guess for those pre-2004 S3s not shipped from the factory with the fly screen. There was a thread about it here: http://www.triumphrat.net/modules.ph...=5672&forum=19.

Thanks for that! I'll keep my eye out for a rear cover - good to know I'm not alone on that one. I'll try moving the brake fluid reservior first, as that's all that is hitting the fly screen with the new clip-on's (and replace the screen) otherwise I'll get a cover. Thanks for your help.

Hey Bungle, I made my own brake reservoir bracket for my clip-on install. I just used some angled aluminum. Here are a couple of pics.

Thanks for your help guys - I did make a bracket last night and got an extended hose to suit and all is well - I can highly recommend the clip-on's - fantastic handling bike made even better!

ps. I also swapped over to a Daytona clutch cable - works a lot better with this set up.

Cheers, John
