Hi
I am selling my 99 ZRX with a bunch of MODS.I am thinking of purchasing a 1999 s3 that someone has for sale. The bike is imaculate with only 3200 miles on it. This is what would be included with the sale.

A driver seat gel
pad, passenger seat, new K&N air filter, extra bar end
mirrors, Triumph oil filter and drain plug washer,
Shoei size (L) new helmet with clear and mirror face
shield. Acessories not in the photo that are included
are : Haynes repair manual, bike cover, and set of
Dunlop 208zr, front and rear, tires. the bike has a clear title. It's never been in
any accidents. All original parts. No damage at all.
The bike is in perfect condition

He is asking 5200.00, is this a bit high or is it a good price?
Are there any types of problems that I should watch out for with the 99 year

Here is a link to the pics

5200. is a good price . I bought my 99 (Stock) last year with11k on it and that was the book value . One owner, I love it and have not had any problems what so ever of coarse it was owned by the service manager at my local triumph dealer so all of the recalls where done fuel fittings (plastic to aluminum) You should be able to run the VIN at your dealer to see if the recalls had been completed. It is all about how bad you want it , try and talk them down a little and jump on it as long as it is black :-D It sounds like a very nice bike . with all of the up grades buy it and have fun .

Sounds high to me. Paid $5400 last June for a one owner '03 , perfect condition with 3700 miles on it and still under warantee.
I'd keep looking.

That is a clean, new-looking bike. I've never been a big fan of the green, but that one just looks good. As for the price, it seems to be fair from what I've seen for the 1999s with that kind of low mileage. If that's your color, you've taken it for a ride, and it all seems sorted, then you should make it your bike.

Good luck.

Seems high to me, depending on where you live.

Of course, that is really like a new bike (w/o the warranty). I'd try to get it down some though. I have a friend with a '99 (also green) and it's a great bike. :upthumb:

Dude -- -I'm about to sale my '99 s3. 24K on the clock. Had no idea I could get anything over 4300 for it based on the blue book value.

Absolutely love the '99 but I have the itch for the 06 model.

Good luck, you can't go wrong. The enjoyment you'll get from the bike is priceless.

If I paid 10K plus for a bike, and it only had 3200 miles on it, I would hope I could get 5 for it. My bike has 22,000 mikes on it, and I don't think I would sell it for less than that, with all the expensive mods I've done. I might have to keep it, and that wouldn't be bad either...

talk him down! That is a very nice looking bike, but it is about 7yrs old now. I just sold a 02 Yamaha R1 and 03 Honda CBR 600rr for $5000 a piece a few months ago!!! Of course, my R1 did have about 24k miles on her! :-D Plus I had to get rid of those to get my beautiful S3!!! Shop around a little though, you can probably get a newer model for around the same price. I bought my 05 with only 2200 miles on it for 7600!

I just purchased a 99 s-3 with 3100 miles on it for 4600.00 in black, like yours bike was in show room condition with some mods.I got it home and was honestly offered 5500.00 by one of my friends(wich I turned down). In my opinion that body style/graphics are the best looking and green is a great color.I dont think you can always go by book value on these bikes,Id go for it but first try to chisel him down on price a couple hundred

My opinions of pricing generally comes from cycletrader.com. From the look of that bike and what's being advertised there now, I think it's in-line with the market. But absolutely try to talk him down.
